What is the EQ?

Emotional intelligence is the ability to sense, understand, and effectively apply the power and acumen of emotions to facilitate higher levels of collaboration and productivity.

The Emotional Quotient™ assessment quantifies this competence across five core dimensions:
  1. Self-Awareness: Recognizing and understanding your moods, emotions, and drives—and their impacts on your thoughts and actions 
  2. Self-Regulation: Controlling or redirecting disruptive impulses and moods; the propensity to suspend judgment and think before acting 
  3. Motivation: A passion for work that extends beyond external rewards, driven by an internal fire to pursue goals with energy and persistence 
  4. Social Awareness: Reading the room—understanding the emotional makeup of others and how your words and actions affect them 
  5. Social Regulation: Influencing the emotional clarity of others through adept relationship management and network building 

Each dimension is scored to reveal areas of strength (“clear glass” moments of high emotional clarity) and opportunity (“red glass” moments of emotional cloudiness) so you can target development efforts that boost resilience, communication, and leadership effectiveness.
